He can burst all remaining cocoons, revealing a board full of incredibly powerful enemies. He is not more powerful in this final phase, however, he does gain a new attack. Once you’ve popped the right Cocoon (again), the Baron will appear for the last time. These enemies are pulled from the deadliest enemies in the Courtyard, and they can ruin your day. If you break the wrong cocoon, a more powerful enemy will spawn. He will once again retreat into a cocoon, and this is where the “fun” begins. Slap the right cocoon, and the Baron will continue to strike out with his weak, inaccurate attacks until he is reduced to half health. Again, this is where most of his damage is coming from - his RNG allies. Like the first time, if you attack the wrong cocoon, an enemy will spawn. Once his health drops to around 75 percent, he will once again, retreat into a cocoon. He can attack three times per turn, however, and if he chooses to target one character, he can do some serious damage. The Baron is not a potent combatant, and his attacks are fairly weak. Once the Baron is revealed, he will attack your party directly.
If you attack the wrong cocoon (there is no way to tell which is correct), then one of the standard Courtyard enemies will spawn. There will be three other cocoons on the battlefield and it’s your job to find which one contains the sneaky bloodsucker.
When the fight starts, The Baron will immediately retreat to a cocoon and hide. This is triply so, because he acts three times per turn, proccing all Bleed effects three times. He is can be stunned, and he can be afflicted with Blight, but the real chink here is his vulnerability to Bleed. That Speed is alright too, which means he could be acting early each round.
Needless to say, hitting him is going to be a pain, and when you do, you won’t be hitting quite as hard as usual. He is not only packing a hefty health pool but with a smattering of Protection and a reasonable Dodge. The Baron is no joke with a stat line like that. The Baron’s Statistics and Resistances Health Once you find him once, hunting a second time is significantly easier. The number of rooms may be closing in on triple digits, but the layout is fixed. One thing to remember when hunting down The Baron is that you can leave the Courtyard at any time and return with a fresh party kitted out to murder The Baron.
